Installation of a TV over the Bioethanol Fireplace

Installation of a TV over the Bioethanol Fireplace

Installing a TV above a bioethanol fireplace is a popular choice that adds a unique touch to any home, letting you enjoy the cosy flames while watching your favourite series.

This guide is for people who want to build their own ethanol fireplace and only buy the bioethanol burner or built-in bioethanol fireplace insert. To ensure that the fire and heat will not damage the TV, there are some preventive measures that need to be followed - choose the option that best suits your project.

Option 1

Recessed TV Above Your Bioethanol Fireplace

The TV should be recessed into the wall by 10 cm. This recess provides added protection from the heat emitted by the fireplace, reducing exposure to direct heat and extending the life of the TV.

A minimum distance of 60 cm from the bottom of the fireplace to the bottom of the TV is required.

Surround the fireplace with heat-resistant materials such as cement boards to shield the wall from the heat generated by the bioethanol fire.

Option 2

TV Flushed with Wall Above Bioethanol Fireplace

Ensure that the TV is recessed into the wall so that it sits completely flush with both the wall and the bioethanol fireplace. This will provide a seamless look while maintaining the necessary distance from the heat.

Maintain a minimum distance of 80 cm from the bottom of the fireplace to the bottom of the TV.

Surround the fireplace with heat-resistant materials such as cement boards to shield the wall from the heat generated by the bioethanol fire.

TV over Your Bioethanol Fireplace with Heat Deflector

The TV must be hung directly on the wall above the bioethanol fireplace.

A 2 cm heat deflector should be installed at the top of the fireplace surround. Maintain a minimum distance of 15 cm from the top of the fireplace to the bottom of the TV. This ensures that the TV is adequately protected from the heat generated by the fireplace.

TV Above Bioethanol Fireplace with Fireproof Shelf Between

The TV is hung directly on the wall above the bioethanol fireplace. For safety, make sure there is a minimum gap of 60 cm from the bottom of the fireplace to the bottom of the TV.

A fireproof shelf is installed between the fireplace and the TV. This shelf acts as a barrier, helping to block some of the heat rising from the fireplace. It is important that this shelf is made from heat-resistant materials.
